Universidade de Lisboa (UL)

Following an outstanding scientific and cultural tradition inherited from its prior institutions, Universidade de Lisboa was created in July 2013, as a result of the merger of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and Universidade de Lisboa.

At IST, we aim to give our students and alumni the education and the knowledge tools to improve, to change and to shape society through science, technology, and entrepreneurship. We provide top quality higher education, strongly exposed to Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities, immersing our students in an exciting and global environment geared towards solving the challenges of the XXIst Century.

The (IST) will be the project leader and responsible for the following project aspects:

  • 1st Stage – Capacity Building on Setting-up the Network
  • Management of the project.

On the technical and implementation aspects the long experience in projects such as Go-Lab or E-Lab are an excellent added value, complemented with the IST Physics department and the Experimental Physics Group allied with their MOOCs initiatives make IST team a valuable player in the project and capable of running a set of activities that can truly capacitate the partner institutions.

On the project management aspect IST has also an important experience and very experienced teams, being either Project Coordinator, Work Package Coordinator or Partner in more than 36 Erasmus + funded Projects in the last 4 years. Adding to this, the participation in the MAGALHÃES network and all the historical close relations with South America enabling mutual understanding contact managing and work development.
