PUC-Rio is a non-profit philanthropic institution and was the first private higher education institution in the country, created in 1940 by the Catholic Church. Beyond providing education, PUC-Rio undertook the task of assisting the community, based on Christian ethical values, solidarity and human respect. It represents a space for achievement, overcoming challenges and development of its students and staff members.
PUC-Rio is, above all, a community of people, teachers, students and staff members united by a common interest in seeking the truth and acting in accordance with the needs of the society and with the ever changing world around us.

PUC Rio will contribute to the project with a solid component regarding the pedagogical components and intervention, based in the experience of their Center for Theology and Human Sciences (CTCH) but also thought by it’s Physics Department, based in the experience of their Center for Science and Technology.
PUC Rio is a very relevant partner, since they have a significant part of their programmes thought on-line, so they will be a valuable partner during the MOOCs and Pedagogical Component development.
