SDC University of Chile

The EdV of the University of Chile is an educational program originated in 1989 in the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (FCFM) of the University of Chile, for students of basic and secondary education from all over the country. Although in its beginnings the EdV exclusively taught Physics courses, the rapid interest in new courses inspired other disciplines to join this innovative project.

Thanks to its expertise, the program offers courses in the areas of: Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering; Biology, Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences; Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, reaching more than 55,000 students from various parts of Chile.

EdV + World Pendulum Alliance (WPA):

The strategic alliance of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and the WPA project seeks to bring the knowledge of STEM disciplines to schoolchildren and university students by promoting the use of technologies, practical activities and remote experimental activities. For this, the FCFM has established alliances with other higher education institutions in Chile with the purpose of creating a local network of pendulums, to bring together students from all over the country.
